Fuck me, rice gone dear

Whole Earth crunchie peanut butter was 99p a jar a while back, gone up to £1.40 now in Sainsburys:(

There's a supermarket comparison site but I can't for the life of me remember what it is! :D:(

Doesn't that stuff use palm oil? :hmm:

No, Waitrose has shelves.

The Lidil in Tottenham Hale just has stock chucked on the floor like a jumble sale with people trampling all over it.

That's Tottenham Hale for you, though. See Ed's threads, passim.

For a civilised Lidl experience, walk down Seven Sisters, turn right at St Ann's road, turn left up Hermitage Road, stop in at the Oakdale for a couple of pints, carry on up the end of the road, cross the park, and go to the one at Finsbury Park.

Or, alternatively, get off the tube at Finsbury Park instead of Tottenham Hale. :D

Never noticed the Tottenham Lidl to be that bad. Only once went in the Finsbury Park one. I left pretty pronto when I saw that the queue for the tills stretched all the way along the side of the shop to the back wall.

It's actually like a lot of German supermarkets - not so much money wasted on bullshit promotional displays, more like what supermarkets in the UK were like in the 1970s.

It's quite like a lot of French supermarkets too. I always feel cold in Lidls - think it's something to do with them reminding me of being in a french supermarkets when it's blazing hot outside or something.

I quite like Lidl. They have great biscuits, and some of their freezer foor dis top notch (as these things go, anyway). The nearest one to me - which isn't actually that close - sells a good cider. Think it's called Churchwards or something.
