I think that's pretty much spot on. I'm sure 22 and 23 episode seasons are great for generating advertising revenue but they've always struck me as a bit self-indulgent.

They must have made abundant of them. They even aired one episode with agent Charlie Francis, AFTER the episode where he's dead. I thought he came back from the dead.

Yes, although it changes a lot between series one and series three. A lot of people gave up on the show during series one but Fringe gets better and better and is worth sticking with.

I just started watching the first season of this last night. Pretty good first episode imo.
i re-started from the beginning last month, and have just got to the end of series 2
love love love this show (except for s2 e20 - why, why, why????? one review says 'This week's ... Fringe could've been a 12-car pile-up on the interstate freeway.)

Ah yes, that didn't quite work, did it? A rare misstep though. The new season has been brilliant although US ratings are still in the toilet apparently. There's talk of a shorter season five to wrap everything up.
