Fringe

The problem with many network American TV shows – too many episodes often means there's a mid-season lull. Fringe is a victim of this, too, I guess.

Worse is when you watch one episode after another (online streaming), you'd realise the similarity of format, plot and so forth of each episode.
It becomes predictable.

I think that's pretty much spot on. I'm sure 22 and 23 episode seasons are great for generating advertising revenue but they've always struck me as a bit self-indulgent.

They must have made abundant of them. They even aired one episode with agent Charlie Francis, AFTER the episode where he's dead. I thought he came back from the dead.

Yes, that was really weird and it was never explained properly. I can't believe they just happened to have a spare episode lying around.

Anyone been watching season four? Off to a great start I reckon, although its US ratings are still in the toilet.

i re-started from the beginning last month, and have just got to the end of series 2 :)
love love love this show (except for s2 e20 - why, why, why????? one review says 'This week's ... Fringe could've been a 12-car pile-up on the interstate freeway.)

i want a walter bishop.

the 'what-on-earth-possessed-them-to-do-that?' fantasy musical detective episode. worked for buffy, considerably less so for fringe.

Ah yes, that didn't quite work, did it? A rare misstep though. The new season has been brilliant although US ratings are still in the toilet apparently. There's talk of a shorter season five to wrap everything up.
