Blimey, a rumble!

"Our" Spivs joined in 29/06/2007 - http://www.myspace.com/thespivsonline

What I can only assume to be Nicspiv's Spivs joined in 17/08/2006, plus they've got www.thespivs.co.uk - http://www.myspace.com/threespivs

Which doesn't look good for our plucky Cramps-loving chums...

But!

Disaster!

From New York, the only band with a claim to the name The Spivs, joined myspace on 30/12/2004 - http://www.myspace.com/thespivs

So looks like you've both looking for new names, lads...

:p

Of the three, I think I like the sound of The Original Spivs the best, then The New New Spivs, with The New Spivs trailing a distinct third...

The Original NYC Spivs are an all-female duo. Sophie on vocals and guitar and Diana on triangle. Sounds pretty punk rock to me!

check their influences:
"the libertines, baby shambles, interpol, the moldy peaches, kimya dawson, the star spangles, the witnesses, adam green, rooney, frente!, the arcade fire, bright eyes, weezer"
a mixed bag, imo

i love the way they've tried to stretch out the fact that they're obviously a moldy peaches tribute. "we love all sorts of music - moldy peaches, kimya dawson, adam green, all sorts...!"

was there a bradford spivs? or are they one of the spivs already counted?

i would like to see The Horrors, Billy Childish, Diagonal, Edwyn Collins, David Viner, Pete Molinari, S.C.U.M. and Toddla T!
Gong are pretty famous too.
