Freecycle war

I've given away absolutely arse loads of really good stuff - most of which I am happy has gone on to good homes. However I have on occasion been very dissapointed by the complete lack of gratitude I have received from people who have just been got themselves something awesome for free! For example I once gave away around 5 crates of hip hop records that belonged to my brother. The guy I gave them to told me in his email that he was setting up a youth centre in the local area and planned to include djing and scratching workshops etc so he sounded like a worthy cause. As I helped him load the records into his car though he was totally monosyllabic and then when we were done he merely uttered 'cheers' and was gone.

'Cheers?' 'Cheers?' Is that all you can manage you ungrateful bastard!

Still it was good to get the bastard things out of my flat.

If you miss any of these records you can still see them on eBay :)

I've not used it much, but if people don't respond to your message does it basically mean the item is gone? :hmm:

Probably, yeah - they should put up a 'taken' message, but it doesn't always happen, especially if there's only been a few replies to it.
