Do you speak castilian spanish fluently now?

No. I wish I did. I do speak only Castilian though. I’m hoping to get my DELE exam done so I can apply for citizenship next year so am focusing on read/writing skills.

Oh I was hoping you'd say "yes" and then i could say "well it didn't stop you". But anyway you are probably above duolingo level.

There are so many forms of Spanish in the world that theres no way they could please everyone all the time! But it seems to me duolingo picks an ok compromise. It learns too; I'm sure they'd accept carro as well as coche now even if that wasn't what they taught.
