Frank Lumpalard and West Ham fans.

thought it was funny the hammers fans were chucking bricks and stuff at the chelsea bullet proof bus......still not renowned for their intelligence

Frank Lampard has revealed that a brick was thrown at the Chelsea team coach as it arrived at Upton Park for Wednesday's game against West Ham.
The Blues midfielder said: "The window got shattered. It made a huge bang. But that's football - it happens because there are emotions.

Chelsea Spokesman said:
"It was a rock of some sort and it cracked a window of the coach. But none of the players were injured and none of them were sat by the window that was hit."

I've told you a million times frank, don't exaggerate. :D

(altho it was a terrible, terrible business and, for the record, I SINCERELY CONDEMN all such behaviour.)

I would come on here and defend Frank but I'll let his career since and the league table do the talking.

Enjoy Scunthorpe.

Frank fucks off to team with billionaire investor and does well. Joe, Rio and Carrick did the same and yet, somehow, they still command respect. Not sure how Frank's career does any talking in his defence, how he can have all the luxuries in life and remain so embittered is beyond me. Maybe, just maybe, he's a twat.

Get your facts right at least. If I recall correctly, we bought Lampard before Abramovich was on board. Perhaps he is a twat. Lots of footballers are, I'm not really bothered about defending him as a person.....I cringe too when I think of his "Super Goals" advert.

On the pitch, for Chelsea at least, he does his job. He scores a ton of goals (11 in the Premiership this season...a sum would represent almost half of your premiership goals this season).

It is all to easy to discredit a team when they've had backing and, to an extent, I agree. In an individual's case I certainly don't think it's fair.

"Oh, of course Frank is playing well. Look at all the talent he has alongside him"

I don't buy into that argument because, I'm sure you'll agree, we've had our fair share of signings who have far from lived up to expectation.

ah, well that's the difference. we couldn't really care less about how well he plays. He is a touch one dimensional though.

bobby zamora's scored 10 this season. wonderful wonderful player. :)

I don't recall stating any 'facts'. Most of his playing days at Chelsea were under Abromovich, indeed pretty much all of his successful years were in this era. He never really got going under Bates/Ranieri, presumably as he was still quite young and there were more established players in front of him (the genius Zola, for one, although he was striker he held back into spaces Lampard usually gets forward into).

I'm not sure what you're arguing - I've maintained (as has Tommers) that Frank was always destined to be a top player. I've also maintained he's a twat. That's why he gets shit, and a great deal of it he brings on himself.

Serious question, who do you hate more; Paul Ince or Frank Lampard?

I thought Ince was badly advised and then too stupid/pigheaded to admit to it. Frank is consistently a twat. It's like he tries at it. Very successfully, as it turns out.

I'm a fan of Bobby Zamora actually. He supports the club and it shows when he scores! (He is a striker though)

Anyway, in all honesty I don't want WHU to go down, you should be in the top flight. Certainly over the likes of others I can think of. I still think there's a glimmer of hope!

oooh, that's a tricky one.

Ince's behaviour at the time before he left was probably more annoying than frank's.

But frank's behaviour since he left is more annoying than ince's.

They're about equal.

In fact Frank might just be a fat paul ince.

Maybe. ;)

Mattie, I'll stop being a pedant after this but I interpret that as a fact.

Whatever words you use I think it's worth distinguishing that he didn't fuck off because of a billionaire investor. That's all.

yeah, I'm a fan of Bobby too, kind of in the same way that people like little puppies with three legs. He tries hard, he loves the club but he's just not brilliant - altho he has been playing well recently.

My point was that judging a midfielder by the number of goals he scores is a bit wrong, IMO.

And thank you for the kind words. :)

Fair enough, it's true that he didn't go to Chelsea as they had a billionaire investor. I didn't intend that as a literal statement, more as a generalisation, but you're right to call it.

It's also true that his development has mostly been during the Abramovich era, and that this development has been mirrored by other ex-West Ham players who also developed at clubs with equal squad strength and resources, but who manage not to be such obvious twats at the same time - the as-yet-unmentioned Glen Johnson is an exception to my little rule, as he's a twat for picking up huge paychecks without having the character to actually do something in return. To Frank's credit, he does work his arse off and has been correspondingly successful.

Careful. That almost sounded like you *cough* like him.

Repeat after me.. "Frank Lampard is a one-dimensional overrated player who can't tackle or pass and can only shoot. He hogs the ball, is more interested in his own glory than that of the team and scores half of his goals from the penalty spot or off drogba's arse. When playing for England Lampard actually causes an overall negative effect by destroying the ability of our only world class player to influence the game. And, and... he is fat."

Fat wank can fuck right off. I don't blame him for leaving when he did that was entirly fair enough and probbabley necessery beacuse i couldn't imagine us playing cole, crraick and lampos in the midfield again it was just too soft. I was worried it would be carrick that was going to be off, so result, especilly for 11million just a shame we didn't have any bonus cluases for premoiership titles etc.

What i have a problem with him while at our club was he couldn't mark for shit couldn't tackle for shit and while desreving of a first team place it was definatly kept all in the family.

Since he has left he has beomce a complete prick to a club who his entire family have ties to and no one else has said a bad word about. I haven't heard arry saying bad things othetr then he shouldn't have been sacked. And i don't know if daddy dearesst is still alive to be quite honest. All this "its war" shite pisses me off and i bet he will celebrate when if(all but when) we go down i just hope everyone calls him a tosser for it and jon terry(paul koncheskys bro in law)m joe cole and possibly glenn johnson have words.

Rio however, got pushed out beacuse we needed the money and when he came back with leeds got a round of applause, acknowleged it and then when the utter cunt scored refused to celebrate the goal and promptly got another slight round of appluase beneath everyone calling him a prick. Your danm right he gets a good reception.

Oh and i hate paul ince more then lumpard. At least lamprd knows we all hate him, Paul ince as i recall seems to think we begruginly have respect for him beacuse of what he did in his carear. Umm no, fuck off you manure shirt wearing twat. I have less problems with marco boogers then him!

and mattie lampard werent abramarich signing he was season before, Messers cole and johnson were about abramaviches first chelsea signings.

I only read the first sentence of K&U's post and I whole heartedly agree with the rest of it!

Frank Lumpalard is a modern day footballer. Modern day footballers of teh worst kind are spoiled bastards. Frank Lampard is a spoiled fat bastard.

Laughing at Americans and throwing paper aeroplanes at them a day after 9/11 is not acceptable. Being Frank Lampard and doing that is frankly a hangable offence.

Someone start a thread on the petition Tony blag no10 website.

oh yeah. I'd forgotten about that.

It's hard to keep up with all the things he does.

We all know he'll be delighted if/when we go down. It's the way he is. An arrogant t*t!

He said himself he's love to score the goal that sent us down a couple of seasons back.

He probably forgets what we did for him.

Most players feel a bit silly when they do thing like that to our club (Defoe, Ince), but not him!

when did ince show remorse. Ill allow defoe cos i just presume it was all his agents fault but who knows.

I'm suprised joe cole doesn't get slightly more grief then he does to be honest. I remember when he left he was saying even if we had survived he was going to be asking for a move to further his crarear. Which is fair enough but is normally held against players.

Er, we have to play two of our biggest bogey teams, then wigan away, then man u, while making up, at minimum, a gap of six points. That's not a glimmer, that's a shard of light in argentina, visible from the Uk during a world war 2 blackout.

I wouldn't be too bothered about going down, except that it means tevez will definitely be leaving.

I mean he would be anyway, even if we stayed up, but at least then I'd have a bit of hope.

He's fucking great.

Beating everton and bolton in successive weeks though, that's virtually impossible given our record against those two. And then winning at wigan and man u? No chance.

Yes, fair enough RenegadeDog, I was merely considering the other crap above you. Anyway, you have a habit of winning the more difficult games this season (United and Arsenal)

*Places a hex on Wigan*

no they're not. we're going down. the question is now who stays and who goes, and are they teh same people we want to stay and go.
