Mmmm...Robben is left-footed. I'd say Joe Cole is the player most fitted to playing on the right.

joe cole likes to drift in so love the left or centre of midfield or just in the hole. Can't actully recall him playing to many games on the right. Although chelsea do seem to swap wingers sides at will.

Our goals against Arsenal were quite good at showing the two players' strengths. Cole took the ball of Lauren on the right, cut inside and scored. And Robben scored by running down the left, and slotting home. You're right though, they do interchange quite a lot.

How often does joe cole start on the right for you then? I can't recall him playing more then a couple of games there for west ham and to be honest i swear im making it up. But then he played wing baks quite a lot in those days.

I can say without any doubt that Robben is a left-sided player who can do the center as well - if he plays on the right, it's just a show of how much class he has. And, to my mind, Chelsea still are to get the best out of him. He scored like a madman for Eindhoven. I think the world of him - if I had Robben in my team, I wouldn't buy Ronaldinho - while Ronaldinho is a bit better, the two do the same thing and you can spend your money elsewhere.

I think Chelsea's buying plan goes like this: Ooh, lookie, this guy is quickly becoming a superstar! Buy him at whatever cost! Hmmm... how do we fit him into our side...

Nah they ain't quite that silly it seems to be two world class(or world classish anyway) players for every position plus a few good prspects.
