Forgot how good nirvana unplugged is

that's not good. I feel guilty now - genuinely. But time zones, international jobs and that are complicated. I'm sure it cuts both way.

anyway, i'm going to bed NOW...

You mean apart from people repeatedly asking him the same daft, post-count related questions???

:p

;)

Well you know me, always trying to get people to get that elusive 43,117 mark.

There's thousands of wee grungers running about with Nirvana hoodies on and I suppose Kurt is an idol for them so it makes a lot of older people shy away from them. Trith is, Nirvana had a load of really good catchy tunes. I like to listen to them now and again.

These days I appreciate Nirvana more for what they got me into than the band themselves. Before Nirvana I thought 'indie' just meant miserable stuff like the Smiths, cos of Nirvana I discovered loads of great bands like the Pixies, Sonic Youth etc.

The Nirvana album I enjoy listening to the most these days is Bleach.

But I think it's great that there are still young kids getting into them. It makes me laugh cos when I was at school and originally into them, I was one of just a few people who liked them, everyone else was into their Eric Clapton and 'proper' music like Dire Straits and shit, and they all claimed that nobody would remember Nirvana in 5-10 years time, which has clearly turned out to be bullshit.

Oi The Smiths are not miserable!

Though understand, Nirvana are a good way to get young people intersted in rock. Bleach is a good albulm, certainly not as commercial as Nevermind or In Utero, though you can't beat Nevermind for quality, one of the few albulms I can listen to every song and never get bored, very few bands are able to pull that shite out of the hat.

I think it's cos when I was a teen, Bleach was the one I liked the least. Now I'm older it seems to have somehow 'matured', much like Alien 3, which I now like watching the most of any of the Alien films.

great great album, one of the few albums I still really love and listen to from my teenage indie/grunge days. Listening to it now actually - spot on for a sunday lounging around.

'man who sold the world' is an all-time fave of mine.
