or indeed evaluating stuff that i havne't heard before.

there are quite a few posters here who i know that if i just search on soulseek for the bands they're listening to i'm going to find a band i like.

and if kained&able likes a band, i know they're absolute welly.

Yep.

Urban75 was really the catalyst that moved me to actually listen and appreciate dance music. I hated it before, coming from a strong guitar rock background.

urban definitely influences peoples tastes - i liked the way a couple of people raved about High on Fire after seeing them at supersonic the other weekend, and then suddenly everyone has the album.

Another country convert through Urban here. It was the sort of music I made a point of avoiding for reasons that only apply to a particular type of C & W.

Edit: I'm not old though, obviously, so I don't apply to this thread at all. I would have found it anyway with my lithe and youthful mind.
