Does anyone know the answer to

They come on at every League Ground, and 4 Conference grounds at half time, and stay on into the second half except for at Premiership Grounds where they are withdrawn after 5 minutes. They are not included in the Football Laws, but have to be checked by the referee before the match begins. However, in night time matches, or Cup Replays, they are not seen at all.

I have seen it asked a few times but never seen an answer,is there an answer or is it a hoax question?

Good answer, up until the point where it says they're not involved in cup replays or night games, I'm sure mascots are.

I reckon it's Shaun Goater myself.

It seems that there is no answer and its a hoax that was made up just to see how far it could get.

yup, this was back in the 80s! goalkeeper too, not as well know as cottee so it'll be tricky unless you already know it

Reading that throws up another quiz question. In which game did Hurst and Moore first play alongside each other?
