People don't realise, Lawro's shit because predicting scores is fucking hard. Much much harder than results.

Dunno about that WBA 1-0, you're looking a bit dodgy there.

Actually he's not a bit good at all - at work we've done a predictions league and included Lawros predictions in it and he is second to bottom, the only person below him stopped predicting 4 weeks ago.

I thought he did pretty damn well last week. Anyway here's some predictions, minus the everton villa game because it's already 3-1 to Everton.

Man City 3-2 Wigan

West Ham 2-1 Pompey

Arsenal 2 - 0 Charlton

Blackburn 2 - 0 Middlesborough
Bolton 4 - 1 Sunderland
Man City 1 - 2 Wigan
West Brom 2 - 2 Man U
West Ham 2 - 1 Portsmouth

I checked the link. Seven results is quite good (not amazing) but on the beeb forums his name is a byword for stupidity.

I'm not surprised, they're taking the piss now.
Just doing a bit of detective work on Betfair, and there's been over £1.5 million (some of it mine, to be fair) staked on this match - and it isn't even in play! To put that in perspective, in-play matches like Man City/Wigan and Arsenal/Charlton have had about £300-800,000 matched so far.
Dodgy. As. Fuck. It's like the Pompey manager's market all over again...

4 out of 6, 1 to play. No perfect predictions though, plus a couple were obvious.

Here's how I did:

Arsenal 3-0 Charlton Correct result! Correct score!
Birmingham 1-2 Tottenham Correct result! (score 0-2)
Blackburn 1-1 Middlesbrough (3-2)
Bolton 2-1 Sunderland Correct result! (score 2-0)
Everton 1-0 Aston Villa Correct result! (score 4-1)
Man City 2-2 Wigan (0-1)
West Brom 1-3 Man Utd Correct result! (1-2)
West Ham 1-1 Portsmouth (2-4)

Ok, it's not great - but I got five results right out of eight!

Result in the corresponding match at Villa Park ....

Aston Villa 4 Everton 0. :p

Anyway, at least Gabriel Agbonlahor scored on his debut (one of six players under 21 in our starting line-up).

Can we do this every week? I'm not around next Saturday, but will happily join in after that ...

The fixtures could be put up in midweek to make sure everyone gets them in, and it could be say 8 points for a correct score and 4 for the right result...

One thread coming up!

I've made it a sticky and hopefully we'll be able to keep it free from chatter and just get on with the predictions.

I've suggested these rules:
Last entry Saturday morning 11am.
THREE points for a correct score and result.
ONE point for a correct result.

Cool?

Yeah, that's the same scoring system as on another website I know that does this.
