foods you hated as a child but liked as you got older

Probably only sprouts, cabbage and spinich. Its more in reverse for me, I now hate loads of things I used to love.
Can't stand baked beans, chips, fries, crisps, gummy sweets, lollies, fizzy drinks, sweet drinks, most sausages and burgers.

Olives, avocado, mushrooms.
Even now enjoying mushrooms very much depends on how they are cooked.
Olives and avocado didn't seem to exist in my childhood world.
The only take away that we had was a chippy.
I remember a Chinese takeaway cropping up when I was 16 or 17 and it was the talk of the town, so exotic.

Liver, cauliflower, broccoli, cooked carrot, lasagne, water chesnut, bamboo shoot, onion, radish, celery, lentils, sausages, baked beans, kidney beans, pork chops, cranberries, pepper, raisins, cabbage, garlic, pizza, jam, cucumber, meatloaf, chili con carne, curry, stew, pork pies, brussel sprouts

I grew up in North London in the 70s and 80's and my parents were definitely trying to keep up with the Joneses-specially ma who had come over on a bannana boat in the late 50's (windrush gen)and worked very hard to be middle class. 'Foreign food' was always easily accessible because of the large Greek/turkish/Indian/Pakistani /Carribean/African communities.
Didn't eat olives, mushrooms or avocardo often as a kid, but when I moved out at 16 and was a vegetarian and living with vegans, those tastes developed.
