Food you can't stand!

I'm not that bad - thankfully, since I used to work in a dairy. You could smell the place half a mile away on a hot day, and I threw the old clothes I used to wear under my overalls out when I finished there, because no matter how much I washed them they still smelled of sour milk!

People there used to swig from the bottles that came down the lines below-level or leaking. I just used to keep a bottle of water in my pocket...

just reading that made me retch!

OK I have remembered a couple of things I can't stomach-

Rabbit (used to keep them as pets, just can't bring myself to eat them for some reason despite happily eating almost anything else that stands still for long enough!)

Marzipan and thick icing like on a christmas cake - too sweet for me I am more of a savoury person.

Yes, but you're neglecting the fact that Cobbles is a tryhard numbnut in search of controversy.

Tofu is rank when cooked in most wholefood settings, but some folks know how to cook it well.

The 'jelly' part of pork pies
sweede (baaaad childhood memories)
sweetcorn from tins
parsnips
liver
rabbit

most other stuff i'll happily eat

Corned beef.

My Mum used to make me sit at the table until I'd eaten it. Scarred for life by having sit there for hours on my own occasionally being shouted at and hit for not eating it. I remember coating it in jam and forcing it down whilst gagging and crying.

Bread & Butter pudding is fucking nasty - my mum used to make it with marmalde orange peel in it? wtf? soggy old bread

)

thats some cheapjack B&B pudding method. My old dear uses nice, wholemeal bread and makes it nom nom nomable

I know not her secret methods, but I have tasted other, inferior, B&B puds that are indeed rank.

I think the key is home cooked goodness. Everytime I've had it from a domestic kitchen it has been win. Pub or Restaurant B&B puds have been invariably failsome.
