Food things that dont agree with you?

So basically you... argh forget it

Peanuts - allergic - only mildly

Pumpkin seeds - can eat a few but then my throat and tongue get irritated

Not much else I can think of really. There isn't really any food that I don't like and if there is, I don't waste my time thinking about it enough to remember what it is.

Of course. Did you not know that all vegetarian meals are disgusting? They're all pretty much the same anyway - therefore they're all equally and invariably disgusting. Not even one of them is nice.

Gluten - wheat, barley, rye and (to a lesser extent) oats. Gives me bad diarrhoea followed by utter exhaustion - the kind where I will suddenly fall asleep en route to the bed, and then not be able to wake myself up at all - for days. (I'm just glad I don't get the diarrhoea and exhaustion at the same time!)

Are you a coeliac? My daughter has the same problem with gluten and finding gluten free versions of popular foods that are nice is rather difficult. Eating out is always a problem too. I sympathise.

Yup. It's snacks (savoury snacks, especially) or light meals out of home that's the most awkward. I end up eating lots of crisps and chips because there's little else you can get that's convenient. I'm veggie to, but it doesn't make that much difference.

Same as my daughter. I've noticed a lot of crisps and even things like mustard contain gluten or some form of wheat product. :(

Raw garlic in quantity some times gives me crippling stomach aches. But other times not. Weird. But less weird than some of you lot and your fancy shmancy psychological problems :p

It is hidden in lots and lots of food - which is probably the reason that gluten intolerance is on the increase: over-exposure.

Grapefruit juice - I love it but it bloats me out and gives me really painful wind.

same for me, along with most citrus juices
cannot even think about eating the flesh, citrus fruits dont agree with me.

I used to have the proverbial cast iron stomach, but of late both pickled onions (sob) and cucumber and started giving me awful indigestion.

getting old is NOT good:(
