flying ducks on your wall and other such old-fashioned kitsch ornamentation.

Given they were available by the million I find that difficult to believe.

a few years back they were quite the thing. any shop selling ducks and hanging basket chairs was the best place to look.

remember they were thrown out in their millions too. :)

i had three old style china flying ducks, with hook and magnet attached to their backs (versitile ducks - for wall or fridge decoration). i chose the fridge option - and within a week they all fell off.

i now have three flying ducks with broken wings and feet.

they don't look all that tbf. :(

my ducks all have broken necks, though I've glued them together.

yes it has. it's not as good as i thought it might be. i've seen better. i think i shall re-sell it on ebay and get a different one.

Ive got a couple of kitchsy things I inherited from my nana. My cousins etc all went for stuff like the telly but I wanted the stuff that I remembered playing with as a kiddy.
I've got a pineapple ice bucket thingy, a little set of wooden mexican musicians, a koala bear (made of real koala fur :( ) and some really nice glass cocktail sticks with dangly charm things on them. I think I've got some ncie champagne glasses as well but they're wrapped up in my mums loft - wouldn't last a day here. I really wanted the 60's cocktail cabinet with a light hanging over it - it was utterly fab but nana left it to my uncle (who loathed it). Now he's dead my auntie has probably sold it for a tenner

I want those flying ducks! It's the advert for Harveys Furniture Shop that comes on before Corrie that made me want them.

I also want some of those big glass ball things with string around them, I've been looking for some for years but I don't know what they are called.

I have Babycham glasses as well, which I love - a little plastic Babycham on top of the cupboard they are in

I have a garden gnome outside ( for some reason he's doing a poo... and I don't even think he's a spanish figure) is that kitsch enough?
