Floppy potatos

Some of my patato plants got blackleg, which maybe what has happened to yours.

Has the stems blackened and gone soft just under the soil?

Are they floppy in the morning (the potatoes, not anything else before any perv makes a puerile joke )

They're always floppy - completely collapsed now tbh. I don't think it's blackleg - I checked for that at the weekend.

Mine seem to have picked up a bit. I went to my parents yesterday, and my Dad has the same potatoes (although I forgot to ask what variety we have) and his were mega floppy, but still mostly green. He wasn't bothered, said that all the energy was now going into the potatoes rather han the plants, and that they'll be ready soon.
