That or they fancy you. I'm increasingly aware that any site or even function on a site that can be used for getting a date or 'sexxy chat', will be.

Nothing is innocent any longer..

:(

you don't get what you don't ask for... simple premise in Life...not jus the Net. Works equally for the good & bad...itza ying_yang thang...but I "imagine" you prolly don't see that?:D...or do you?:hmm:...choice is still available...last time I looked.

On the other hand, anyone can add their pics to 800 groups and get loads of comments, and then you comment of their pictures, and then they ask you what you had for lunch, etc., etc.

can you not jus remove and resubmit the images & lose the comments you don't want...or EVEN state that comments of a flippant, mundane or unuseful nature are not received with welcome?

Or don't you have that choice?:D

You can delete any comments you receive.

I'm always tempted to remove comments with god-awful pictures in them, like those flashing diamonds or sniffing dogs that tell you fido really loved your photo.

i do it all the time, it is only a means of storing my work while i get my own rack server..

How long do you think I would last?:D:D

How long do you think you'd last before I deleted one of your eeeevil comments? Or how long do you think you'd last before you realised it was all too much like hard work?

I'd never delete your comments. It's nice to have someone who's full of shit comment once in a while ;) :p :D

Some people appear to have taken over neonwilderness's picture comments :(

:p

You can have a blue ribbon for that! :p

"great movement"

LOL :D

yea, I am responsible for the fact that the guy in the photo was moving. It's all me, I did it.

...I've uploaded photos that I thought were good and there's been deafening silence, so it's made me think again -- they're not as good as I thought they were.

...

I've noticed that the best photographs often get ignored. People seem far to happy to dish compliments for mediocre shit, but don't like to praise photographs that are actually good.

I hate the false small talk on the web. Especially on social networking sites. It's total crap. Seems to be even worse on Flickr than anywhere else. It's all so false the feedback is of absolutely no value whatsoever.

Urban tends to drift that way at times. There are a few posters here who only ever say 'nice photo' type comments. Thankfully, on the whole people here actually look at the photographs before passing any judgment and some of us aren't scared to upset photographers with a bit of constructive criticism :)

The most useful critical responses that I receive on Flickr are always for my nudes, I've had some really good advice and ideas from other photgraphers.

Sadly my nudes also attract comments of the 'WOW I LEIK 2 DO HER' and 'IS SHE UR GIRLFERND??' sort. The last one annoys me greatly because these illiterate twunts are unable to grasp the 'self portrait' tag and the concept of a female photographer

Link?

I used to spend a lot of time looking at photos online. Everyone then used to use pbase. It seems flickr is a newer phenomenon but I still prefer pbase.
