Flesh Tunnels

yeah, when I got my ears peirced they took literally about a year to heal properly cus my mam took me to get them done with a gun when I was about 13 then after the 6 weeks of keeping them in I left them out overnight and she took me to my aunt to get her to force the earrings back in  which is why I am at odds with the stretching cus I'd wanna get a second hole above so I can still wear studs...

oh and I've totally lost my set of gauge crescents somewhere...

Get skin divers instead, less scarring if they reject and they're not as invasive. You soon stop catching them as well, just cover them up at night at first and you'll be right ;)

@Idioteque...the slower you stretch (1mm at a time!) the less like a cats arsehole they look! :D

I didn't know that when I was 15 :(

I went from nothing to maybe 3mm, then 5/6, then 8, then 9/10, over the space of about 2 years.

I'm not going any bigger now though.

Cartilidge can take aaaages to heal, 12-18 months is quite common.

I've been quite lucky with my other ones I think, only my conch and antitragus took that long (after rejecting once, settled down quickly after the second time though, I'd had it pierced with a too big gauge ), but thankfully the others have been okay. I heard rook piercings are notoriously hard to head, but mine healed so quickly

Nice! I've asked on Etsy if someone will make me a wooden pair with cut-out hearts, as I've seen a few really nice pairs but only for larger gauges. Something like this:

^ That was a from a custom site, I really want them but I bet they're expensive.

No decent replies from Etsy yet :(

They're dead cute! Have you got a link for the shop?

Mine came to $26.50 (most i've ever spent on my ears!)...can't remember what that converted to at the time tho. from here Look on the right for items for sale...some of them are so drool worthy!

Here is quite good as well, and there's a couple of good American shops on Ebay.

Aahhh one of my friends buys from frozenfire, I really want some decent glass ones, I only have a stainless steel pair, a white plastic pair, a clear pair, the blue/green ones and the wooden ones in my current size. I need more...

I love these ones from bodyartforms:

Crescents can be tricky coz they move about a lot, causes a lot of stress on the healing skin. I was in agony when i tried one!

Thanks for the links! Will check them out now

I hope I don't end up spending money I don't have...

Haha, easily done innit! :D

Cheers for the links...i daren't look at the BAF site anymore tho, i just wanna cry coz some of their stuff is so beautiful, and there's no way i can afford them :(

LOLZ at the sushi plugs! :D

I really like the look of those teardrop ones, but i'd have to go a lot bigger for them to look good...

oh isit? I don't even know if I wanna do em yet, but it'd look soooo cool... fuck I'm retarded at times....

Them ones ^^^ are fine, it was the big steel ones i was thinking of, that go thru about 4 gauges...

If you go thru the sizes properly and don't skip they'll be bang on. Do 'em in the bath when your skin's all soft and supple as well, it's a doddle then.

Intastella, I wish you hadn't shown me that site... It's got some really pretty ones there.

BAF has some stunning things but they're so expensive. Makes me glad mine aren't that big!

This thread makes me want to get some. Anyone got any recommendations for good piercers for flesh tunnels in london?

It's very simple to do yourself, although I guess if you can find somewhere to do it for you to ensure a good job then it's probably better :hmm:

There is a wealth of information online about how to do it properly yourself though.

what size? it's not hard to pierce at, say, 10 or perhaps even 8 gauge (whatever that is in mm) and just go bigger from there as opposed to getting a dermal punch at a bigger gauge

I literally don't get the point of dermal punching- why actually cut flesh out of your earlobe which will never shrink back, when you can gently and relatively painlessly get larger tunnels which you can then go back to normal with?!!

Hi

Both my lobes were pierced at 3mm and stretched immendiatly to 5mm, they now have 7mm stainless tunnels. In my naval I have a 5mm titanium tunnel that I stetched over a very long period of time, i had not seen it anywhere before I had it done [about 10 years ago] and it was on BMEZine for a while, may still be, i'm not a member, a piercing friend put it on. The jewellery was custom made to fit me and is a bloody pain to get out, no cheese issues with it unlike ears which need regular cleaning.

Naval tunnel freaks people out, escpecially when i thread something through it!

ooo, speaking of which I have a pic...

Don't dermal your lobes, it fucks them up. If you want to get to a much bigger size fast (say from 1/2 inch up to 1 + inch) get them scalpelled. Punching is more for cartilidge and nostrils. Very few people will dermal punch your lobes...the ones that do...avoid! ;)

Easiest way to start is to get pierced at 3.2mm, then stretch immediately up to 4mm. That's what i did to my BF, and his were perfect (as well as instantly gratifying! :D )

The longer method is to go from 1.2mm (standard piercing size) up to 1.6, then 2mm, 2.4, 3mm, 4mm and so on. Go up 1mm every 4-6 weeks...if there's any major discomfort or even a bit of blood, stop and downsize immediately. Wait another few weeks before trying again. Do sea salt soaks if they start to feel hot or sore, if not just leave them alone to heal and adjust.

:)

That is  !! Not seen that before...

/Goes off to investigate

i've seen it done by scalpeling before iirc [after i had mine done the cool way though]

Aye, there's a lass on another forum i go on that's had a navelectomy...bit too hardcore for me i'm afraid! I've not even got mine pierced, i hate my bellybutton, makes me cringe!

That's how I did it. Had my lobes pierced with a gun in a mall in 1985 or so. Some time around 2003 I started stretching them and now they're probably just over 5 mm (and have been for several years now).
