Fleetwood Mac's Tusk...

Watching that doc about them on BBC4 reminded me on how many great fucking songs they had esp in the '70s,they tended to get bracketed in with a lot of the MOR stuff that was prevelent around that time in the US but they were far superior than most of that stuff, their Tango in the Night stuff was pretty good as well.

I liked some of their stuff, but until reminded recently I'd completely forgotten that Radcliffe and Maconie's 'Chain' snippet, which they play every night, was by Fleetwood Mac ... :o

Fab bassline there :)

!!!
REALLY? wowsers!

You know, and I know, that Fleetwood Mac's tune was used, but there may some on here so perverse and hideously tasteless as to not have heard said tunage. There may also be a possibility, as hideous a concept as it undoubtedly is, that they may also be even more perverse and hideously tasteless in that they may lack a knowledge of motorsport as well.

I have thereby resolved some of their undoubted hideous perversity by clearing this matter up. And I sentence them to many hours of listening to the entire Fleetwood Mac back cstalogue and, as a concurrent punishment, order that they attend a major motrorsport event when the next season begins.

The musical court is now adjourned.

I don't really know FM, but I heard Tusk (the track) on the radio the other night and it was ace. My jaw dropped, I didn't realise they were good.

This thread inspired me to listen to Rumours while I was in town this morning - it's every bit as ace as I remembered it being.

of course it's weird. find me another track in their catalogue, or anyone's, which sounds remotely like it. Weird is not a criticism, although this point seems to elude people
I think, in terms of mainstream acts, I can only really think of Kate Bush who would have done anything remotely like it.

I'm a late convert to FM - hated them for years but absolutely love them now.
