Nonsense! They'd lost it by then, though I do have a weakness for Little Lies

I agree, they had lost it by then but I thought Say You Will was surprisingly good.

Now you are stretching a point. Blues, being originated by poor and oppressed people, generally contains a fair amount of misery. However the style of music, the use of the 'blue' note and of a 12 bar repetition.
I don't think so. It's a bit daft to denigrate blues players for sounding like they've got the blues. You can either like British blues stuff or not, but I don't think you can knock it for being British or sounding a bit fed up. :)

Anyway, some great stuff on their early albums, IMO, and nowhere near all of it is slow. 'Worried dream' *is* a perfect bit of slowed down UK blues. But, 'Ramblin Pony' just boogies along and the track 'Fleetwood Mac' is a belting uptempo instrumental. 'Driftin' has some superb blues guitar. They're really tight and have an in-the-studio feel to the production that I like.

Still have the original 45 of 'Oh Well'. Gonna play it now. :D
Tune. The Green Manalishi is another belter. There was some good stuff in that 'middle period'. Past about 70/71 leaves me cold though.

absorbed rumours via parental car journeys as a child....still love it. beautiful songs, great playing and production.

You are Jeremy Clarkson and I claim my £5! Any thoughts on Steely Dan or Volvos?

Tusk is the only one I like really.

One of my favourite songs that I don't have a copy of :(

I have been listening to Rumours occasionally again lately. Got bored with it ages ago. We also have two copies here coz both me & hubby own it :o Like some of the blues stuff too.

Never heard the Tusk album, Rumours and the one before that.. supurb.

And then you have the Peter Green stuff..

It all went abit pants in the 80s.

Love a bit of Mac

Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams has experienced a huge boost in popularity since being featured in a blissful TikTok video, earning its highest-ever streaming numbers in the US.

Idaho labourer Nathan Apodaca, known as 420doggface208 on TikTok, filmed himself skateboarding down a highway drinking cranberry juice and mouthing the Stevie Nicks-sung lyrics to Dreams. Its carefree mood quickly made it viral, with over 23m views so far; Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood later re-created it.

The success of the clip has prompted 8.47m streams of Dreams in the last week in the US, beating the previous high of 3.83m, set in September. The song also returned to the UK charts last week, at No 85.

Rumours, the album that features Dreams, returned to the US Top 40 for the first time since 2013, reaching No 27.

In the UK, it holds its position from the previous week, No 22. Rumours has spent the last 41 weeks in the UK Top 40, and a total of 856 weeks in the Top 100 since its 1977 release.

Apodaca has received thousands of dollars in donations since posting the clip, which he plans to spend on vehicle repairs and upgrades, as well as his parents.

I listened to Future Games recently and absolutely hated it. But now I'm coming round.

Not crap because of Peter Green period at least.
