Flavoured vodka

Oooo you'll have to let us know how it turns out baffled!

I tried the pepper vodka btw whilst away, and it kinda half repulsed me and half attracted me. Hmm

Think Pogofish has first dibs on a taste report but I'm certainly looking forward to trying it.

Mine is beginning to smell nice, was utterly rank for the first few days. The colour of the fruit is beginning to transfer to the vodka too. :)

excuse the staging of photo as the rest of the house is a tip, heres looking forward to New Years....hic :D
How did this taste by the way? Did you filter out the fruit? and how long did it keep?

and did anyone ever try out the skittles vodka thing?

It was very nice, I filtered it before sticking it in the freezer and then it was drunk in one sitting on NYE.

The next flavour I think I will try is mint Mentos.

Left mine in for 10 days due to leaving it late and wanting it for NYE and it tasted good so a fortnight should be perfect.

What I will do next time though is get a 1lt bottle of vodka and make 2 different flavours at the same time as you need to empty quite a bit out to fit all that fruit in, actually thats given me an idea for the weekend, 1 fruit Mentos and 1 mint Mentos flavour

right im gonna have a go at this too!

gonna try the cherry bakewell one - let me get this straight, I filter the cheap vodka before adding stuff in a water filter

how do you filter out all the gubbins (fruit and nuts and what not)? should the vodka go through the water filter again after the 2 weeks?

help!

doiggy you stole my cocktail

another great one is stick 600g rhubarb with 300g sugar into 1l vodka and shake, leave for 6 weeks and drink :D

Im so doing this tonight!! It looks goooorgeous.:) Does it take two weeks?

Ideally you wanna leave fruit for at least 3 months, obviously if you're using flavourings or sugary sweets it takes a hell of a lot less time.

I have lately started drinking raspberry vodka, and it's nice :D I haven't had vodka since I was 19, nearly twenny years ago, It's a quick and happy kick, innit :D

I guess market analysis works: iirc, these new flavoured types of booze were developed for the female consumer.
