Where as the average dirt poor Palestinian had no choice but stay in the country or life in the camps - of course there is high emigration amongst all Palestinians, but not to the scale of the Christians as 84% have left the country. This leaving them as a very small part of the overall population.
I wonder how many of the Irish who emigrated to canada and elsewhere at the turn of the century in steerage were middle or upper class.
