I see other anglers behaving in ways that make me want to throw them in the canal.

Me too. We have some beauties of carp in the local canal, which I've never tried to catch, but I see other people trying and have found a dead one once or twice . It's quite a small group of carp up to about 10-12lbs in this stretch of the canal and they can be often quite visible from the towpath. Be a shame to see em go.

Don't do coarse. Fishing off the shore is my preferred type of angling, and the odd bit of fly/lure. Don't go v often tho - coupla times a year. I like to go when I'm abroad too

i havnt been fishing for a few years, but when i did i tended to use bait that wasnt alive. boiled egg and katkins chunks were amongst my favourites

I used to fish a lot 20+ years ago with my dad and my then boyfriend. Dad had a very small boat and we used to go off Blackpool for whatever was in season I also used to fly fish a lot, both legit and poaching.

When me and the ex split up I gave up pretty much but the last couple of years have really wanted to start again, mr jb has never been fishing and he quite fancies so planning a couple of organised boat trips this summer

dunno, i did write may not be being serious in my post. Mr bishie treated it with about the contempt it deserved.

I eat meat, i wear leather i can't really get on my high horse about fishing. Was just shocked no one had done it yet and was stoned.
