with ketchup (and maybe sliced tomatoes) for me.

wife has them with cheese, salad cream and sweet chilli - which is pretty good I have to admit.

My Mum refuses to eat salad with dressing on it. It has to be salad cream. It's not my fault, milord, it's in my genes.

:D i thought my mum was the only one who refuses to believe in dressings (foreign that is) its salad cream or nothing!

Answer to question, Mayo plenty of salt and pepper on white bread, fish fingers have to be Birdeye and a layer of cheese and onion crisps.
:D This is what i am having for tea tomorrow YUMMY :D

I voted tartare, because that's the ideal - but i have never in my whole adult life owned a jar of tartare sauce (or made any, obv) and therefore probably should have voted for the default oftion, which is ketchup.

Interestingly, tho i don't like salad cream (we upwardly mobiled as a family when i was a bit too young to have got into it), i can see why it would work here, due to its vinagrey-ness.

note - I can't spell vinagre / vinigre / vinaigre / vinigre - how perplexing.:hmm:

My Mum is deeply suspicious of all things foreign. Even my Dad thinks she's a Nazi.:D

anywasy, to my credit - i've just worked out it's because i think of it as Vin aigre.

So I can't spell, but I do have a smattering of French.:p

:D she likes Italian food though..well i mean creamy cheesy sauces over pasta;)

mum says dressings dont taste of anything:confused:and then proceeds to get her salad to float in salad cream:D

White bread, scrapping of horseradish on one slice, a good spread of mayo on the other, lettuce on mayo and then warm fish fingers on that and slap on the horseradish lid.

Horseradish and fishfingers?

I'm liking the cut of y'gib sonny. Must try that.

So I'm aware this won't be a popular option, but cranberry sauce is my fish finger sandwich adornment of choice. Yum!
