First X/ 18 rated film

seeing as my mum used to rent zombie films for me when i was about 11 seeing films at the cinema wasn't really important. i do remember going with some friends of mine to see bram stoker's dracula and not being let in because i fucked up my date of birth when they asked. and this was in romford FFS! so we went to an off licence, bought some lager and walked back to gants hill with my best mates taking the piss all teh way home.

Batman was a 12, IIRC the first.

I remember my going to the flicks to see it with my dad and older brother when I was about ten and much arguing between the woman at the desk and my father. I think she couldn't be arsed arguing any more in the end and just let me in.

Definitely was the first 12.

I thought I was really grown up when I got in to see it with 2 of my mates when I was 10

I think mine was Alien 3. Although I was 16 then so it barely counts.

At the age of about 12 my friend and I sneaked into a different screen from the one we were meant to be watching, to see a bit of 'Fatal Attraction'. However, it looked boring, so we went back to 'Teenwolf Too'!

in that case .. erm maybe Batman? or was that a PG?

Batman was a 12. In fact I remember it being a big palaver at the time. Batman was seen by some as a kids' character, yet Burton's vision was also slammed as too dark and disturbing for kids to watch, so they came up with the '12' rating as a fudge.
