Earliest I definitely remember is Diamonds are forever.. Crispin Glovers dad scared the shit out of me (he was in the film, not the cinema).

Heh, never noticed that before. Makes sense though, they've both got that creepy look going for them.

I saw ET, for my mum's birthday in 85. Went to the Port Jack chippy afterwards.

First film I remember seeing was ghostbusters , but I do remember seeing a James bond film on a wet family holiday somewhere up north ( or maybe wales ) when I was young too so it could be that but I can't check since I don't know which bond film it was !

The first film I remember seeing was The Care Bears Movie (1985) in some local indy cinema that is now long closed. That may not have been the first though. It was a double bill with a Strawberry Shortcake film.

The next one I remember was Snow White in the west end when I was about 8.
My cousin took us and it was my first time in a black cab too.
Very exciting.

I think it might have been bambi but I left after five or ten minutes. Not because I was cool but because I wanted a wee and refused to go in the cinema or something.
Next it was probably star wars, though I know I also watched the London connection and condor man.

Probably some CFF film like The Pit Pony or maybe Benji. Definitely wasnt Star Wars as i was 7 when i saw that.

Bambi - and maybe it had some wee-inducing subliminal message, because all I remember is going to the loo and the stairs seeming really huge. In retrospect it was a tiny cinema.

Off the top of my head it would either have been ma nuit chez maude or Le Samurai. My dad used to take me to see all sorts of old French movies when I was little. But then, those were the days when the Filmhouse were happy to ignore film certification what with it being art and all...

What was the first film you watched at the cinema?

I think mine was either Grease or Star Wars in the late 70s. It's so long ago that I can't quite remember.

Not sure. I recall Psycho, The Three Faces of Eve, and The Good Earth. I was pretty young for all of them. Maybe Bambi or something was before that.
