First day of the season! How did your team get on?

Stoke City

We had Taggart sent off after 12 minutes !! Missed a penalty and ended up drawing 0-0 !! But it was actually a bloody good match  Spent first twenty minutes trying to work out who all of our new players were ? Hoefkens, Kolar, Sidibe, Chadwick, Junior ........ reaches for phrase book !!

'We're on the march with Boskamp's army........'

I could talk about our 2nd game of the season. But as this thread is about the first game, I won't.

lost 4-1 to sheffield united in front of the sky cameras, lucky there's another few matches after that and the follow up against stoke was a much happier scoreline!

Well, respect to West Ham, joint top.

We won 3 - 1, dominating the match, even with 10 men.
:D
Glory supporter, you should support your local club that needs it!! :p

2 - 2 draw with Bolton - all 4 goals scored in the opening 10 minutes!

Super Kev got his first Villa goal - first of many I hope. Steven Davis was lively and equalised for Villa. Aaron Hughes was solid, but once again J'Lloyd Sauel let the side down with another terrible display, and Gareth Barry looked like he had lead in his boots. Both need a good kick up the arse. As does Juan Pablo, who was anonymous for the best part of the match.

Bolton played their usual neanderthal tactics - hoofing it upfield, long throws etc.

Quite lucky to escape with a draw by the looks of it: disallowed Nolan goal, should have counted.

You mean the mighty Welling United? They're alright. But I get to see Charlton for free, and when I started supporting them fifteen years before I was born etc etc

Yeah fucking right glory hunter! I was actually at the game.

Their striker was miles offside. Bolton did'nt deserve to win anyway - one dimensional, kick and rush football.
