fireworks: where are you ooh-ing?

Heck, I'm a south Londoner and I'm going to Ally Pally. I reckon it's the best of the lot. Blackheath may have a better display in-situ, but Ally Pally has a great display *and* you can see a half-dozen others from up there. Plus mini beer fest and fair rides. :)

What day is it?

Brockwell Park as usual. Another highlight of the gaijinhousehold.... usually accompanied by flasked hot mulled wine and then topped off with lots of grub and more wine! :)

Anyone who's going up there fancy meeting up? I could get gaijinboy to wear a flashing red bicycle light on his head so you can spot us! :D

Worth it just to see that!

We're definitely going, also with mullahed wine.

So any opinions on best displays South of the river on Saturday or Sunday?

I'd go to Battersea Park (£2 to get in) on Saturday, then watch them go off over the Thames on Sunday if I were you.

Actually, Battersea Park is apparently charging £5. Sod that.

And also to the Southwark Park/dynamicbaddogbirthday ones on Sunday eve.

I don't know if I can be arsed now. Couldn't find a pumpkin in Streatham on wednesday, haven't made toffee apples and Im not supposed to be drinking. I think I've had it with bonfire night already!

I must admit it was a search on the walk home on wednesday night and I haven't had time since to have a look around :o

If people are meeting up tonight I think I'll come :) Prepare to be stalked Han and GG :p

We're meeting han and jan at 7.15 at the Brixton Water Lane entrance to the park...

I'm in the minority that hate fireworks. Look a coloured explosion woooo. My neighbours will no doubt be setting one off then a couple of minutes later setting another one off (how exciting!) all night long.
