Firefox 1.5 out!

As usual, I'll wait 1/2 weeks so that all extensions in use are compliant with the new version. I wish someone made a tool to check this out automatically.

Oooh, does FlashBlock kill those annoying Flash adverts?

Yes - and replaces them with an 'f' in a circle so that when you want to look at a flash download then you can by clicking on the 'f'. (imagine a smiley here)

What's that then? :confused:

sorry preview in firefox 1.7 (F12)

DW = Dreamweaver

yeh it is 1.07 but when I search for updates which it should do automatically it says there aren't any? :confused:

*Always has to be difficult sorry* :(

I had to do a new install to get 1.5. http://www.mozilla.com/ has the download - this should preserve all your bookmarks and settings.

If you want to be extra safe then Export your bookmarks by going into "Manage Bookmarks" and choosing File|Export...

Be aware that many of your installed extensions (if you have any) may not have been updated...

Shit thanks for reminding me to save the bookmarks :D

Kept meaning to do that.

*downloading now*

ooer. Reassure me 1.5 is ok with PDFs. I've just had it lock up twice opening a pdf, with Acrobat taking 99% CPU. Admittedly it's a 58 pager, and admittedly it's from Lambeth Councils website, and admittedly it was a link from a Pickman's thread, but even so, it shouldn't do that.

The Acrobat plugin is pretty rubbish; set PDFs to download to the desktop automatically, that's what I do with everything apart from Safari.

ok, ta. It worked ok with the previous version though. CPU has now returned to normal, so maybe it was just choking on that particular one.
