No. It means i'm stuck with nowhere to go and no money to get there. I still love him, absolutely shitloads, but i really feel like it's not reciprocated (he's very apathetic when it comes to 'us' stuff), and it's doing us no favours living together, so i'm looking to change the picture. It's a slow process tho.
We've split up a few times, but then kind of drifted back together, with absolutely nothing being resolved, or even discussed...which pecks my head massively, and over time it's chipped away at the feelings i have for him. Maybe we can sort it out if we live apart, but i'm not holding my breath.Soz for the hijack Yelkcub.
It was half a settlement from a tribunal case against her former employers I funded. The legal costs plus money I'd lent her was more than the settlement so I split it with her so she'd have money to live and wouldn't have to worry about money while she found a new job. Just servicing her debts is a grand a month so add living costs to that......
Plus they were pretty fucking nasty to her and if she'd come out of it with nothing it would have crushed her

It's not about legality. You want to make the lives of those you love as easy as you can, even if you can't be together.
By U75 standards I might be rolling in it, I doesn't make the decision to give away £10k a light one.
