Finally there is A Stoke City thread !

Ricky Fuller, when his knee isn't crocked up, is a good old player. Not prem class but there's little danger of that eventuality. Check his scoring record at the back end of last season for Scumhampton, and while he was at PNE.

He's a good buy, very skilful and can confuse defenders with a good bit of trickery when he needs to.

Beware the crocking times though.

Good luck to the bloke, he's had a rough two years.

:)

A really impressive rally by Stoke. I'm not looking forward to us meeting you guys at the Britannia in our current precarious state :(

A hard working organised team with a good up front pairing of Sidibe and Pericard. An excellent keeper in Simonsen and an inspired loaning in Hendry. You are doing alright.
You did however catch us in complete dissaray after losing Parkin and Mills to injury and Ashbee to suspension.

I so wanted to go to the Hull match, haven't been up there since we beat you in an FA cup qtr. final in the 70's, perhaps next season ;)

Hi Bomber,

This isn't my quote, but one from a Tigers message board.

"Hull City 0 Stoke City 2

So, three steps forward and one back, then.

I've always harboured a deep hatred for Stoke, ever since that fateful day in March 1971 when, in a Cup quarter-final with a semi against the Arse the prize, City beat the men from the land that time forgot 3-2 according to the laws of the game but lost it 3-2 according to the referee. Even after all this time I can't find it within me to forgive them, and indeed any reverse at the hands of the Potters - of which there have been many in the intervening years - only serves to exacerbate my silent fury, whilst the occasional victory - even one as hilariously delicious as last season's at the Britannia Mausoleum - never quite seems to assuage the torment to the same extent"

Incidently i was at the Brittania last season, it is a bit souless.

:D :D "Souless"

Probably only the same level of disdain most Stokies feel for Arsenal for equalising in the subsequent semi with a last minute penalty !! Anyway for a brief glimpse of the facts the following link was posted on the Oatcake website, enjoy & maybe the guy above will realise Hull's defence had more to do with our memorable comeback than the referee that fateful day [ Oh & the glorious Harry Burrows !]:p

Yay !!!

We've got Patrick Berger on loan   Rubs eyes & re-reads own words !!

Bring on the baggies & the Bloobirds !

Yeah. I noticed your loan signings today with envy. We managed to sign Wright - a 35-year-old crock - to cover at full back and nobody else. I'm wondering how it is that a top of the table side with a recognised manager can so spectacularly fail to bring people in, especially when some of our stated targets ended up going to teams like L**ds.

Well done, Stoke.

Ello Stokies

We have got Carl Dickinson on loan here at chez Bloomfield. What are are our chances of keeping him? We like him muchly.

The other lad we have - centre half, versatile, forgot his name - is he any good. Is he likely to stay if he is?

Great set of results for Stoke taking six points from two top six teams and making it look all a bit easy. Still a lot can go wrong and no Stokies will be counting their chickens just yet !

But what a night !!!!

Go on You Potters !!!

PS:
tangerinedream, I exect Dicko to return to Stoke but with the way things are going here I can see an extended loan being offered. Who else you got of ours ??

Well done Stoke! Next time why not try doing it with your own team rather than the loanees XI you currently use.

P.S. Hendrie: mincing jessie:mad:
