Films with scenes in psychiatric hospitals

Yes, quite a while ago. I know most of it is set in a university type place and a lot of it seems to be set in his head. Does he get carted off at some point? It didn't make that much of an impression on me to be honest.

Well then, why mention it on this thread then?:p

Because I have a vague recollection that it may have contained a scene in a psychiatric hospital - it certainly involves a person with psychiatric problems.

The OP seemed to be asking for a list of films which contain such scenes. As I could not remember clearly whether 'A Beautiful Mind' contained such a scene, I asked on this the thread. The OP did not ask whether we had watched or enjoyed the films in question.

Hope that puts your mind at rest

Quills is set in one for almost the entire film. But then I seem to be the only person who's ever seen this movie, so you'll have to trust me...

I did think about mentioning the (superb) Quills, but wondered if France circa the revolution could really boast anything that'd be classed as a psychiatric hospital in modern parlance :D Top film though.

Don't you mean Batman Begins? That's when Arkham Asylum is recreated in all its hideous glory.
arkham asylum isn't in batman begins. it's at the end of batman forever where they lock up the riddler.

Oh yes it is, the nasty Doctor Crane imprisons the big crime boss and uses his scarecrow mask in a hideously scary scene and then a bit later, the lunatics take over the asylum as all hell breaks loose. I can't remember Batman Forever but I've seen Batman Begins about 3 times in last 12 months cos i got my son the dvd and its a damn fine movie.

Regeneration? by Pat Barker. (well she was the author of the book anyway).

WW1 film about poets Wilfred Owen and Sassoon. Sure there was a scene where Owen visits Sassoon in a Psych. ward in Scotland somewhere.

the silence of the lambs.
the fisher king.

quills is a good call as well as a beutiful mind. wife of john nash visited him in hospital in the film.
