Films that aren't shit but you could never watch again.

I don't think Pulp Fiction is a crap film, and I found it completely gripping when I saw it, but I really, really do not want to see it again. It gave me bloody nightmares, that did.

Similar experience with Trainspotting, actually, although it was on telly recently, and I watched a bit of it.

I first watched Pulp Fiction when I was about 15 I think. I stayed up late all special for it.

The gimp bit made my young eyes scared and confused.

Is Come and See really *that* unwatchable? There's village burning and atrocities, but there's also a cathartic execution of evil Nazis and some groundbreaking cinematography. (Some claim Mr Spielberg was "inspired" by it in Saving Private Ryan.)

I found Cross of Iron much bleaker. Das Boot also, come to think of it.

It is an amazing film, great cinematography...... but the plight it depicts is reallly quite upsetting....... especially the chap they're carrying around who's pretty much been 100% burnt alive

was gonna say as far as requiem for a dream goes, its a great film, ive seen it a fair few times....

a lot of my freinds complain about oldboy when i make them watch it (made the new g/f watch it the other day, she was less than impressed) lol

I tend to re-watch films a bit too much.
Some of the ones listed here I have only seen a couple of time though, and that is enough.
Saving Private Ryan is unlikely to get watched again but is not 'crap' is it.

I was about to say 'Ai No Corrida!' but then I realised I'm a sick perv who's watched it 3 times...

I don't normally watch films unless they have a happy ending

But it does have happy endings - Butch gets away on Zeds bike with Fabienne, Jules finds redemption and rescues Pumpkin and Hunnybunny from their junior criminal lifestyle. In fact, the only actual sad bit, which isn't really sad, is Vincent getting shot - and he's the most amoral character in the whole film, who is only interested in himself.

Pulp Fiction is a deeply moralistic movie at it's heart. Sort of.

Once Were Warriors.

I think its a great movie, great performances but its like each time the sadness becomes greater because you know what's coming.

I could (and do) watch Pulp Fiction often on the other hand.
