Bring back hanging
Coppers drinking in the day time. I bet he went out and beat up some poor kid later.

Nothing much to say, just that it was the most fantastic day I've ever had watching any sport anywhere. Sorry to sound like an idiot but I've waited all my cricket watching life for this day and when I left the Oval I was struggling to hold back tears.
I don't give a shit about any world cups in any sport compared to this, this is the ultimate.
What a team, what a captain, what a summer. Fan-fucking-tastic.
The party in the streets around the Oval was huge as well, as we walked out of the ground we were showered with beer and champagne from people stood on their balconies and in windows overlooking the ground. Every passing car was honking its horn, bus passengers grinning like loons on their way past and an awful lot of very drunk, very happy people spilling all over the roads around Kennington.
Fuck me I'm happy. Yes!
Edit: writing that almost made me cry again![]()

Particularly Brett Lee for getting faster and faster and angrier and angrier when it became clear it was all over, bless
And to Warney, for being one of the true giants of the game![]()

In the long term - prospects don't look good for Australia. Warne and McGrath aren't going to be a feature in the next ashes, perhaps neither will Ponting, Hayden and Langer. Who do they have left? Build a team around Tait and Clarke?
