Having said that it was nice to go to Bristol yesterday and have buses with cheap fares and polite drivers who give change.

Now that's got to be a joke. Bristol buses are the 2nd most expensive in the U.K, I think, and polite drivers who give you change? You must be getting on the buses of some illicit firm operating invisibly under the nose of First Bus.

Well, I just spent last week down the south coast of England and I'm so glad to come back home (to Wales). It's more friendly, beautiful, better accents, more chilled and even the flag waving seems to be done in a more light hearted fashion.

i know what u mean. when i used to live down there it always felt good to be driving back across the bridge after a weekend away.

I haven't been to Bristol in yonks but Badger buses used to be pretty good, I went from Bristol to Glastonbury and back for a couple of quid each way in 1990.

On the other hand, an eight mile trip from East Grinstead to Crawley cost £4 for a return ticket. I hate to think what it is now.

£1.20 return from Temple Meads to the City Centre - I don't think Cardiff buses compare?

its almost 6 quid if i remeber correctly, so i dont bother going, its less hassle to get the train to croydon instead
