Zemblanity for the pure hysterical nonsense of having a word to describe a place lacking most of the properties of Sri Lanka (or the inexorable discovery of bad for the rest of you).

I like curl, splice and faucet.

Oh yes, svelte and heft as well.

virtuous
vicious
violet
virile

they all followed each other when I thought of 'virtuous' so they all get a mention :)

I'm with Nabokov. 'Lolita.'

"Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta."

And also 'blandishments'

Nestle

Not the massive earth-destroying souless company, although when you read the lid of the coffee as 'Nestle' it sounds, you know, proper pervy

'serendipity' is a horrible word. it reminds me of centipedes or even worse, one of those double barrell names like tara palmer tomkinson. i dont know what it means either.

i only like onomatopoiec words though, ones that paint pictures

The english language is a constanly evolving thing, and I love these slang/linguistic drift things that go on

For instance, among my friends we have started greeting each other with 'cesch' which I have probably spelled wrong, but it is a polish greeting AFAIK

I also love the way 'Standards' has become a multi-purpose word.

'I seven balled this cock on the pool table'
'Standards'
