Favourite type of cheese?

Just bumping this because I stumbled across some Langres on a booze cruise to Cité D'Europe at the weekend.

Oh, it's as good as ever... mmmmmmm

A soft cheese like Epiosses but a bit more refined, certainly milder. It's rinsed in Marc De Champagne and you can really taste it. fucking lush. Only 3 euros 80 as well, normally goes for about £6 here.

most AMAZING CHEESE EVER!!!

wensleydale with cranberries - available in lidl & aldi for DIRT CHEAP

god it's so addictive though...mmm

I can't decide between a really tangy cheddar or stilton or dolcelatte....I don't think I know enough cheeses either

Has to be a mature cheddar. Also parmesan and mozzarella have their uses.

halloumi and feta cheese are pretty good too (are they the same stuff?)

I don't like soft cheeses, eurgh!

NO NO NO NO fruit cheeses are cheap, mass produced cack

I rarely get snobby about anything but fruit cheese. And what the fuck is white stilton for that matter?!

*explodes*

I'll do a cheese evening one day... you bring the drugs and Dub, I'll bring the cheese and wine

This is my favourite at the moment... a pecorino from Sardinia - yum! :o

It's quite hard, but melts in your mouth :o

Stilton on a bloody Steak
Roqufort on a beetroot, dijon and apple salad.
Chedder that rips off the roof of your mouth for sandwiches and omelletes.
Brie de maux to nibble on with a baguette.
Emmentalle for egg and bacon sandwiches.
Parmesan Reggiano for pizza and pasta.
Camembert melted in the box with fruit veg and bread for dipping.
Mozzerella with basil and tomato in a ciabata.
Halloumi for kebabs.
Limburger to help you get through customs in the quickest time possible.

I could go on but I'm getting too hungry now :)

I can't remember the names of the best cheeses I've ever had, but they've all been Italian. Generally any Italian soft cheese with a blue flavour is going to be nice. :)

really? I'd like that - but no drugs before cheese or I'd have no appetite.
