Ive just clicked on the link again and it worked. I wasn't aware it covered several varieties.

All the varieties under that brand do. Iirc they were developed by a consortium of big growers that was set up specifically to develop commercial red-fleshed varieties.

There's one with pink blushed golden-yellow skin and the greasiness of a good keeper that's good later on in the new year and early spring.

Just got back into eating apples after years of avoiding them, but most breeds of apple available in Sainsbury's and Waitrose are bland and characterless compared to the apples I consumed as a youth. Waitrose still sell Coxes, but the others....meh.
What are the tastiest supermarket apples these days?
I've just bought a variety from Sainsbury's to test my theory that they have no character and all taste the same - Braeburn, Kanzi, Royal Gala and Pink Lady - so probs not them

It's still a week or so early to get a decent British apple. I looked in a farm shop earlier, to no avail. If a farm shop doesn't have them yet, a supermarket definitely won't. Try again in a week or two.
