Favourite Swedish Band

The Komeda.

A bit Stereolab, a bit Can, a bit bloody fucking fantastic. (Note: not to be confused with the trumpeter Krystof Komeda, who I think they take their name from)

The Leather Nun.

well, the early stuff anyway, PRIME MOVER is one of the most stunning, brain bludgeoning slabs of music ever, and other stuff like ensam i nyat, no rule, slow death etc etc is also way cool.

turned utter shite later on tho.

I saw Samantha Fox in a town right in the north of Sweden - actually in Lapland - called Umea (I lived there for a while - not Umea - a village called Fredrika - Umea was the nearest town - 2 hours drive away :D) It was the show of the decade for the locals but when she actually performed after getting all excited, they hated her :D She can't have made any money out of it - just to get to Umea would have been a real hassle :D

Bob Hund were, when I saw them some while back, pretty much straightforward punk. Quite melodic about it, but very much punk. It wouldn't surprise me if they've changed radically. They can clearly play, and if you are any good it's easy enough to end up getting bored and wanting to play a completely different type of music.

Yes, fair enough. Hence the name change I suppose. Bergman Rock were kind of Roxy Music, kraut rock, Pulp, Pixies, Pere Ubu. I saw them at a free festival in Stockholm a while back, and they were by far the best band.
