Well, it's still Radiator for me. I think 'Mountain People' is one of the most devastating endings to an album ever. Rings Around The World also gets a frequent play for its widescreenedness, and Mwng because it's great, and the Outspaced B-sides collection. All of them have at least some greatness in them, but I never rated Guerilla as much as some here, though 'Northern Lites' is their best single.

A great band :)

:D

:)

I'm here brother, I'm here. I voted for "Fuzzy Logic", mainly because it's got that short sharp attack to it, but whilst still incorporating some left field weirdness into it.

Ultimately, I'm not sure it's fair to compare them all, because SFA are rare in an indie band in that they've tried to evolve markedly with each release and not rest on laurels. "Guerrilla" is huge in structure compared with its two predecessors for example. I was a bit disappointed with "Love Kraft" but "Hey Venus" has definitely come up trumps.

Strange that nobody's mentioned "Out Spaced" yet, given that it opens with arguably their most famous song. It also sounds all the better coming out of a rubber breast-shaped case. :)

No votes for Phantom Power, as yet. My second choice. Know a few people who didn't rate it -am I alone?

Nah, it's probably my second favourite too. My copy is scratched to hell unfortunately so I haven't heard it in a while. I've heard it described as being more straightforward than their other albums, but it's only straightforward compared to SFA's very high standards of weirdness. The songwriting is top notch too but that's pretty much a given

...-and I can't find my copy of Guerrilla. :(

-What's going on?... :hmm: :D

I've recently lost rings around the world, love kraft and radiator; and my original copy of fuzzy logic is long gone (get it?) :(

I'm pretty sure I lent one of them to a friend before he moved away but the others have been lost to cruel fate. Happily I still have a proper copy of guerilla, so was I able to find the hidden song at the beginning :)

First post on U75. Massive super furries fan. I voted for Phantom Power, really underated. Listened to it on the way home from work, some quality songs.

Which album to people like the least? Mines probably Love Kraft, listened to it the least though.

Yeah, "Love Kraft" for me too. It's still very listenable but didn't have anything on it that really gripped me by the bollocks and made me say wow.

I think this thread emphasises the concept of SFA as highly consistent.

I like all the ones where they're the Welsh ELO WLO and hate the skunked-up Gerry Garcia like Dead Head stuff.

Highly consistent, i second that. I Can't think of a band in my lifetime who've released a series of albums of such quality as the furries. The welsh ELO, i prefer to think of them as the Beatles in a parallel universe.

Love Kraft is a bit of a grower, although unlike the rest of the albums it does contain a couple of boring songs towards the end.

I once smoked a big pipe of Savlia D. whilst listening to 'Zoom' and got lost in one line of the lyrics which was looping over and over again for what seemed like about half an hour

Picked up Love Kraft the others day, quite enjoying it but only have Rings Around the World to compare with...
