Favourite song/piece of music from a film

its kind of boring without vids on all the pages, you have to click on the links, with embedded vids it looks more interesting, wot do you reckon?

i wouldn't say it was boring - you still have to click and listen. as you said, the thread was started before it was possible to embed videos.

"Where is my mind" (Pixies) at end of Fight Club (mentioned earlier on thread).

"La Marseillaise" in Casablanca.

Zither music in The Third Man.

Hendrix when they hit the motorway in Withnail.

First ones that come to mind are Here's To You - used in various films, but I have to admit to knowing it from The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou rather than Sacco & Vanzetti or Germany in Autumn.
And Some Velvet Morning - I didn't really love Morvern Callar, took me a while to look up what the film was called, but think it was the first time I heard Some Velvet Morning, which is definitely a song that stays with you.

The Killing Moon by the Bunnymen at the start of Donnie Darko.

I tend to associate Echo & The Bunnymen with rainy days in rundown 80s Liverpool but somehow this still works for sunny-but-weird Californian suburbia.
