Favourite Smiths Tune

There is a Light that Never Goes Out. It's just beautiful.

It is beautiful, isn't it? When I used to go out with a couple of friends, years ago, we had to walk up a dark spooky road to get from one pub to another, and we would link arms and sing it as we went to keep our spirits up. :D

oooh

so hard to pick one

possibly Barbarism Begins at Home or Big Mouth Strikes Again

Least favourite would be either Bengali in Platforms or Meat is Murder, both dire IMO

Wot Brianx said. Just been listening to Hatful of Hollow - please, please, please let me get what I want -great tune.

Bigmouth Strikes Again

Jeanne the low life has lost it's appeal
and I'm tired of working these streets
and these rooms with the cupboards bare
Jeanne I'm not sure what happiness means
but I look in your eyes and I know it's not there

Something like that anyway. God he's beautiful.:)

I do quite like the Smiths, although to a completest degree which I tend to get with a lot of acts. I'll go with "This Charming Man" for the way it juxtaposes beautiful poppish song structure with the dark, subtle, homo-erotic lyrics.
