Favourite shoes - do you have a pair?

A 5 year old white pair of Adidas forest hills, they aren't comfy, get my feet wet when it rains, and look really tatty. I love em still though.

The Campers third up on the left.
This pic was taken for another forum's "post a pic of your shoes" or somesuch and was before "the big shoe cull".
I think I've only got a couple of these ones left  although I'm catching back up again :o

Soled with sticky rubber so you can climb in comfort all day in them and still be just smart enough for the pub afterwards.

I wore them for the interview for my current job and not only did people notice, they commented on them.

I just wish they more durable for the price.

Pretty normal thanks. Why the interest? Gonna try  and get smart again are we?

Of course not. It's just that most people think of skinheads as sort of young people, so they must think you look a bit strange I suppose. But hey, if you don't mind that, go right ahead. I can see no harm in it myself.

Oh well because 'most people' think something then that's a reason to change something? Funny because given most people on ULH are sick of your behaviour there uou seem to do little about it.
Strangely enough most people I know or meet don't comment or give a flying fuck about my clothes Phillip. They probably have better things to think/care or comment about..... unlike some clearly!

Fair enough, except that you obviously *do* care a lot about your clothes and "look," because you continue to dress up as a skinhead. So one might presume that you hoped or expected other people to care about your skinhead "gear" as much as you do.

Or isn't that how it works? I confess that the mind of a middle-aged skinhead is something of a closed book to me.

Is it a tad too difficult for you Phillip? I, like millions of others, care about how I look and like the clothes I wear. Nothing particularly unusual in that.

And it's not 'gear', it's simply clothes. That you can't even deal with that shows up your own petty prejudices nothing more.

Nothing at all. What is rather unusual though is for a middle-aged man to choose to dress up as a skinhead. Nothing wrong with it though, of course not.

Nothing 'rather unusual' Phil, it's smart, I like it and frankly I enjoy what goes with it... the music etc...

Trickers boots..... :cool::cool:

Here

I suppose the good thing about sticking with the skinhead "look" into middle age and beyond is that eventually we all turn into skinheads. All old blokes look and dress like skinheads when you think about it. That I take it is the cunning of your plan?

Do we? I know plenty who aren't/don't. Just a personal choice Phil, I rarely wear doc martens any more, much more into my brogues, brogue boots, loafers and sta-prest these days. Still have the creased sewn in Levis but much closer to the old 'hard mod/skinhead look'. Was never into the bleached jeans/14 hole dm oi punk/skin look anyway.

Nor me, and I'd imagine that "look" would be harder to carry off as one moves into one's 40's and 50's too. It must get a bit expensive though, all those shoes? Although I suppose you can cut your own hair. Is that what you do, put the money you save on haircuts towards shoes?
