You never saw Jack deal with Habib Marwan.

My house mate and I always insist on totally going OTT when saying his name , we end up spitting at the TV :D

Without giving too much away (minor spoilers), series 3 had:

-Russian Roulette
-Significant characters getting shot, execution style (grim but cool, s'fiction after all)
-Doctors with the medical skills of Jesus
-Mexicans
-Big Dave Palmer at his finest, or not
-The best twist since Dennis Hopper in series 1
-A Riot (which I did not predict)
-That biro in episode 1!

Top stuff.

From what I could be bothered to watch of 1 and some of 2, they are all an incredibly over-rated pile of poop.

They may have been better titled "Annoying blonde fluff gets repeatedly captured and runs away for no very good reason - in REAL TIME!"

:p
Or rather ....in REAL TIME (except for the fifteen minutes that goes missing every episode because of the adverts).

I'm very angry that I STILL don't know what happened to poor old Lynne :( And, on the subject, how the fuck did that Dick Cheney bloke worm his way back into the whitehouse?

Oh, and after a week of "where the fuck have I seen him before?" Re: Habib, it dawned on me that he's Imotep from the Mummy, of course! They never explained what he was in it for. I never believed he was some kind of islamic extremist, he must have stood to profit from it, and were he and that girl at the end shagging?

ADDITIONAL: As I understand it, for the 25th amendment to be valid, the president has to sign a leter of resignation for the VP to take over, else it is the defence secretary who becomes acting leader

Sky Three is being launched on freeview on 31/10/05. Repeating 24 series 3 if you haven't seen it.

Sweet wondered if they would ever been shown on cheap sky or real telly.

Well 'real telly' had S1&2 before Fox cut the BBC off for some reason, so all you get now is sporadic reruns of S1...

So, anyone got a heads up on S5? No spoilers please...

I love 24, but Series 4 is bollocks.

Either they're scared of pursuing their own plot-lines, or they have some kind of ADHD, but each little section lasts about five minutes before they ditch it completely. One main character simply disappears, and is never heard of again!

The split screen format is gone, because idiots couldn't handle it. Come to think of it, the multiple simultaneous stories are gone too!

It's also a rehash of all the elements from previous series; you can make a list and tick them off as you go. Almost all of the new characters are expendable or worse, forgettable.

The ending is crap as well - does the job, but like the rest of the episodes, there's no buildup or suspense like there was before.

Still, it's got helicopters and things blowing up, so it's watchable - just not the same writing genius from Series 1. Pretty much TV for idiots.

Yeah I watched one and two when they were on BBC just hoped that they would do a star trek andf fter the twelfth showing on sky stick them on the BBC.

It's been the law of diminishing returns for me, loved the first series and have liked the following ones less each time (though I've yet to watch 4).

I've got them all on DVD.

I liked the first one, but thought it the most unrealistic of the four (I know none are realistic but almost every episode had me going 'Why don't they just....?).

The second was far far better.

The third had good material and fucked up, as someone's said.

The fourth has several very dull episodes, particularly in the 3rd quarter of the day (around disc 4/5 on the DVD)

I agree with series 4 just being a rehash of the other 3. Even more obvious when you watch them all within a month.
