Did you know that it's the biggest selling [sniiiiiiiiiiiiip]

Fine Time - as much for the video as the tune. Unlike most people at the time, I really didn't rate the album it was on very much (Technique) but this song was clearly about ecstasy and most of the times when I'd see the video back then I was off my tits on the stuff, so it was kinda perfect.
True Faith is in the headlines now as it was the track used in the Canadian porn star dismembering video.

The video shows a man being stabbed repeatedly with an ice pick. The perpetrator commits sexual acts on the body of the victim and dismembers the body. The song True Faith by New Order played at top volume accompanies the video.

Yeah, Crystal was the last proper good one, I agree. There were a couple on that album that were alright. The best thing about them getting back together then was the fact that they were playing Joy Division songs live again, though.Quite like Crystal as a later NO tune.
Barney has some truly awful lyrics, you're right. On 'Every Little Counts' he even laughs at how shit they are. My favourite piece of lyrical mastery from him is this:dodgy lyrics
Your country is a wonderful place
It pales my England into disgrace
To buy a drink that is so much more reasonable
I think I'll go there when it gets seasonable

even on their best songs its rhyming dictionary doggrel. Not that it matters.Barney has some truly awful lyrics, you're right. On 'Every Little Counts' he even laughs at how shit they are. My favourite piece of lyrical mastery from him is this:
