favourite mash-ups, boots & unoffical remixes?

This guy comes down to our club to test out his mashups on the peeps...

Akimeder

All his stuff isn't up on his site though, but i like his Eminem Vs The Spice girls that's up there

This guy's stuff is pretty good too

IDC

one that springs to mind...

graffiti on mars - energy flash

came out mid-90s just a touching up of the beltram tune

Lest we forget, The Source - You got the Love was a mash-up before mash-ups existed. It's so good that more people know it than either of the originals. Possibly the only mash up to make the charts?

there has been a few since, like gat decor/degrees of motion for example. you got the love must be a contender for best ever tho i'd say

listening to some older ones i've dug out:

'gonna make you the power' (c+c music factory vs snap, no idea who did it)

'jeanshake' (jacko vs kelis by www.muqic.plus.com)

'hot lovers' (rapture vs tiga by party ben)

'smells like emerge' (nirvana vs fischerspooner vs freeland by party ben)

'ch-ch-check it out (old skool mix)' (beasties vs loads of old skool by party ben)

'last night billie jean saved my life' (jacko vs indeep, by whom i do not know)

'billie jean ruled the world with a milkshake' (jacko vs kelis vs nas/lauryn hill by zimen)

all g:cool::cool:d

My favourite mash-up is very old... the Sugababes Overload music with the words from Forgot about Dre. It's ace. :D

That doesn't sound like hard house to me... but .. well... is it? cuz I heard a wicked choon with that forgot about dre vocal once. I know I'm going to get flamed for this but I love certain hard house tracks that have hip hop/ other fast vocals in; Some sound a bit cheesy but others... :D

i'm quite enjoying Marco V's Godd/Indicator/Angel mash up

currently enjoying a lot of alex h's work - plenty of monster mashups, 'imperial bombaclaat', 'purple banjo' and 'mahna mahna in memphis' are particularly neatneatneat :D

my urburn victims will not be permitted to escape the wrath of h!

Heh, I put Higher State of Mambo on my Urburn. There's some excellent stuff on his site.

I also put on an excellent bootleg of ATCQ - Can I Kick It and Pharrell's latest tune. Grabbed it from gybo the other day, but can't find a link to it now.

EDIT: Here it is: Can I Kick It Like That?

Some of my favourites
"Blue Rascal"- Dizzee Rascal vs. New Order, by Blo Up (never, ever would have thought that those tunes would work together) is one of my favourite boots at the moment because i haven't managed to get hold of a copy to overplay...
Lionel Vinyl, a new hotmix by him
DJ Earworm is pretty cool
Agent Lovelette I like
Elektric Cowboy did a superb mix last year which seems to have vanished from the web...
Solcofn I really like some of the stuff he's done. His longer mixes tend to be spot on for most of it but he'll invariably drop something I dislike at some point...

The ultimate source for all things bootleg is of course: www. gybo. org

the first rule of this thread is no one can mention g*b* (or else they'll all be over there ;))

love agent lovelette - great glitchy mixes of 'witness' & 'hombre

lionel vinyl always knocks up great fun mixes, and i heart elektric cowboy's 'pressurized' :)
