Favourite Living Comedian?

Stanhope was cracking last night, had me wheezing with laughter.... and loving that there was someone else who hated humanity as much as I do

I don't quite think of it as hating humanity. I think (-well okay, I hope) that beneath that contempt and impotent rage of people like Stanhope is a profound sense of despair and frustration with a fucked up world. That's more what I relate to, and why he makes me laugh.

:)

Anyone recommend me any good clips of Dylan Moran, I watched a short one about children's parties.

He's on in Manchester soon but it's quite expensive so wouldn't mind checking him out before spending £40 on a couple of tickets.

Bill Bailey is almost unique in using music as part of his act, and some of his funniest gags are musical.

This just reminded me of Steven Lynch, whose entire set is musical.

Very, very funny and so, so wrong.

Youtube Steven Lynch, he's brilliant.

Bill Hicks called himself a misanthropic humanist. I reckon Stanhope probably would too.

yeah, more eloquently put

Doug Stanhope was on 6Music just now talking to Nemone. I didn't find him funny at all. Certainly not in the league of Bill Hicks IMO.

He was talking about people with Downs Syndrome being 'Retards' too - nice
