Favourite Ice Cream Flavour

mint-chocolate-chip_opt.jpg

lemon ice... can you still get this?? I used to lurve it from the ice cream van... and rum and raisin... :)

Chestnut. Sounds mad (and very unseasonal - an autumn treat in a summer treat?) but it's the nicest thing in the whole wide world.

Hazelnut a close second.

Mixed cone of coconut icecream + raspbery sorbet for the bronze.

After being given an ice cream make last year, my own fresh strawberry and Amaretto is a firm favourite - with the added bonus that you can easily make it with less sugar, salt, no egg and no added fat compared to commercial ice creams. :)

The only thing is that it does not make a great deal at a time and you need a few hours for the bowl to re-freeze between batches - but its worth the wait! :o :D

Espresso always makes a nice ice cream flavour if coffee is your thing, or cappuccino if coffee isn't your thing.

Epic bump.

It's Ben & Jerry's Core Blondie Brownie. It's incredible. A soft salted caramel core surrounded by half chocolate and half vanilla ice creams studded with chocolate and brownie chunks. *makes Homer drooling noise*

This really is the bloody best flavour, but i will only buy when on special offer :(

Sidoli's Turkish Delight. It's the little tiny bits of chocolate in it that push it over into sublime. Bring on the hot weather!

Raspberry Ripple

(Anyone who has heard the story doesn't need to ask, and anyone who hasn't heard the story probably doesn't want to know)

Valdis = the best ice cream - they even make the cones fresh in a waffle maker then shape it on a wooden cone. Made fresh every day and on Pride Day they make a massive rainbow colored ice cream with glitter in it.

Cadwallader's in Criccieth do some wonderful but tradtional flavours
The strawberry or raspberry ripples have real fruit in them and the ginger / fudge / cinder toffee ones are good .......
The café has a fine line in sundaes and nanna splits (to misquote a mate's small person!)

I don't *do* the fancy / modern ones like bubblegum ....
