It's a tough choice.

A good burger is a thing of beauty, and a decent chilli-con-carne always hits the spot. Roast beef is quintesentially British, while tartare and carpaccio are tasty continental alternatives.

However, a succulent, melt-in-the-mouth, rare steak is hard to beat. I love all cuts, but a juicy bit of rump takes the prize. No sauce required.

I voted for all of them except 'cake' and then realised that I needed to also vote for 'other' to include 'roast'.

And the righteous abuse being heaped on dotty for his ridiculous assertion that steak is a big chore to eat has made me smile.

I can't wait to tell my mate who came out with "i quite like bono he is a force for good in the world" that there is now someone who has said something more ridiculous.

Oh man I forgot Chilli Con Carne, one of the few dishes I can cook to any degree of respectability. :hmm:

Probably because the OP didn't include it in his poll.

No innuendo intended... but just realised that I might've had beef sausages, are merguez sausages beef?

Twat - of course I've had beef sausages, my nan used to make them when we were little :o

I'll raise that with a Wagyu Ribeye from Kraftsteak, MGM Grand, Las Vegas :)

Well can't compare the 2 yet but will bear that in mind for any future trips :D

I've had some good steaks before but I never imagined a steak could be THAT good, I'm drooling just thinking of it. I think if I ever go back to NYC that will be the main driving force (wasn't THAT impressed with the rest) :D

I'm going to write to Wolfgang and say that instead of Mexico City and South Beach, Flo he should open one up in London. They look like splendid dining venues, esp. the Tribeca one
