I've always had a fondness for the album obscured by clouds. I think it could be their best album, yet it's surprisingly little known, even among floyd fans. It's because it wasn't really a proper album as such - it was a soundtrack for a film.

It was released in 1972. Immediately before dark side of the moon and just after meddle - so right at their peak. Some great archetypal pink floyd instrumentals and it's all gilmour vocals.
